Senior Centers

The purpose of Senior Centers is to provide recreation, health-screening services, physical fitness activities, and educational opportunities for persons who are sixty years of age or older.


Persons sixty years of age or older or the spouse of someone who is.

  1. To provide a single focal point for older adults in the community.
  2. To provide an opportunity for effective socialization.
  3. To promote good physical and mental health through fitness and wellness programs.


Source of Funding

The program is funded through the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability and allocated to each county through the approved ETAAAD funding formula.

Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union.
